FAQ

Where does the data come from?

From the Colorado Secretary of State's official business-entity records, which the State publishes as public-domain open data and updates daily (data.colorado.gov). We filter them to the Denver metro, remove nonprofits and inactive entities, tag industries and format everything into a clean spreadsheet.

How do I get my file?

Right after checkout, Stripe sends you to your private download page. The CSV and Excel files are right there. Bookmark the page. Subscribers land on a subscriber page that gets the new pack every Monday.

When is a new pack released?

Every Monday. It covers businesses formed Monday through Sunday of the week before. The State sometimes posts filings a day or two late, so a few businesses from late in the week may show up in the next pack.

Are there phone numbers or emails?

No. The State's records don't include them, and we don't add them. You get the business name, address and registered agent, which work well for direct mail, door-knocking, LinkedIn and research. If you look up contact details yourself, follow the rules below.

Why are some addresses a registered-agent service?

Many new businesses use a formation service (such as Registered Agents Inc or Northwest) and list that office as their address. We flag those rows in the "Address Is Agent Office" column so you can skip them for direct mail.

Can I get just one industry?

Every pack already includes a separate Excel tab for each industry, so you get all segments for $9. Industry tags come from business names, and many names (like "JRM Ventures LLC") don't reveal an industry, so those rows are tagged "Other / Unclassified".

Refunds?

If a file won't open or is missing data, email us within 7 days and we'll fix it or refund you. Cancel your subscription anytime from the billing-portal link on your subscriber page.

Responsible use (CAN-SPAM and TCPA)

RibbonCut Leads is for business-to-business outreach only. If you email these businesses, follow the CAN-SPAM Act: identify yourself honestly, use accurate subject lines, include your physical mailing address and a working unsubscribe link, and honor opt-outs promptly. Packs don't include phone numbers. If you add numbers from other sources, the TCPA, the National Do-Not-Call Registry and Colorado's telemarketing rules apply to calls and texts, including bans on autodialed or prerecorded calls and texts to cell phones without consent. Many registered agents are individuals, so be respectful. This is general information, not legal advice.

Accuracy disclaimer

Data comes from the Colorado Secretary of State's Business Entities dataset and is provided "as is", with no warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose. Industry tags and counties (assigned by ZIP code) are automated estimates. Before relying on any record, verify it with the official Colorado SOS business search. Every row includes a direct "Verify" link. RibbonCut Leads is not affiliated with or endorsed by the State of Colorado.
